What countertop options do you offer?

We offer three main countertop options, each designed for different types of use:
  • Laminate – Durable, easy to clean, and great for everyday use
  • Butcher Block (Maple) – A solid wood surface with a warm look, ideal for projects and workspaces
  • Impact Coating™ – A heavy-duty, textured surface similar to a truck bedliner; highly durable and chemical-resistant
Whether you need a light-duty workspace or a heavy-duty workbench, we have an option to match.

Are your countertops durable enough for workbenches?

Yes.
  • Impact Coating™ is the most durable option and is built for heavy use and tough conditions
  • Butcher block is also a great work surface, though like any wood, it may show wear over time
  • Laminate is very durable for general use and can span longer distances well

What finish is used on the butcher block countertop?

Our maple butcher block countertops use a:
  • Clear sprayed liquid finish
This provides protection while maintaining the natural look of the wood.

How thick are your countertops?

All of our countertops are approximately:
  • 1-3/16” to 1-1/4” thick

Do countertops come cut to size?

Yes.
Countertops are cut to size based on your design, but depending on wall conditions, they may still require:
  • Minor scribing
  • Light sanding
This ensures a proper fit during installation.

Can I order a countertop longer than my cabinets?

Yes.
You can order countertops longer than your cabinet layout if needed.
For custom sizing or extended lengths, contact your project manager for details and pricing.

Can I use my own countertop?

Yes.
You can choose to:
  • Order cabinets without a countertop
  • Install your own countertop separately

Do you provide cutouts for sinks?

No.
We do not provide sink cutouts. If you plan to install a sink, the cutout will need to be completed during installation.

What sinks do you recommend?

For base cabinets (typically 22.5" deep), we recommend:
  • Approximate sink size: 20"W x 20"D x 10"H (including faucet)
  • The sink width should be at least 3" less than the cabinet width
Below are a few sink recommendations from different vendors that will work with our base cabinet that is 22.5"D.

How much overhang do your countertops have?

Standard overhang dimensions are:
  • Sides: ½”
  • Front: 1-3/16”

Where is the best place to cut a countertop during installation?

If a cut is needed, we recommend:
  • Cutting in the center of a cabinet section
This makes installation easier, especially when using connectors like tite-bolts.

Does the backsplash come attached to the countertop?

No.
Backsplashes are:
  • Shipped separately
  • Installed during installation

What sizes are your backsplashes?

Backsplash sizes vary by countertop type:
  • Butcher Block: ¾” thick × 4” high
  • Impact Coating™ (Black Urethane): 1-1/8” thick × 3” high
  • Laminate: 1-1/4” thick × 3” high
