# Greenberg Casework Company History

**Our Story**

In 1985, What began as a small operation—one person, a few tools, and a commitment to doing quality work—quickly grew into something much bigger.

That small shop became **Greenberg Casework Company**.

Over the years, the company earned a reputation for building high-quality custom cabinetry for commercial spaces—everything from hospitals and clinics to schools, retail stores, and office environments. Thousands of melamine and laminate cabinets later, one thing never changed: a focus on craftsmanship, precision, and doing the job right.

As a family-owned business based in Northern Illinois, Greenberg Casework has always taken a hands-on approach. Skilled cabinetmakers, many with years of experience, combine traditional woodworking techniques with modern CNC technology to produce cabinets that are built to last. Every project is handled by an in-house team—from design to manufacturing to shipping—ensuring consistency and quality every step of the way.

But like many good ideas, the next chapter started with a problem.

We saw that most garage cabinets fell into two categories: cheap systems that didn’t hold up, or expensive options with long lead times and limited flexibility. We knew we could build something better.

That’s when we launched **Redline Garagegear** custom-built garage cabinets designed specifically for harsh garage environments. Stronger materials. Smarter design. Built to last, and sold through a dealer network of independent dealers that offers a complete turnkey garage remodeling solution including design, and installation services.

We also pushed innovation further by developing the ability to **powder coat wood**—a highly specialized process that creates an incredibly durable, factory-quality finish. Originally used primarily on metal, powder coating on wood opened the door to a level of durability and appearance that few companies in the country can offer to this day.

As demand grew, we expanded into the direct-to-consumer market, making it easier than ever for homeowners to design and order cabinets online with our **WorkSpace Storage Cabinets** and later through **GarageCabinets.com**. With our _Design to Fit_ system, customers aren’t forced into standard sizes—they can create a solution that truly fits their space.

And then something bigger became clear.

The need for better organization didn’t stop in the garage.

That realization led to the next evolution of our company: **OrganizedSpace.com**.

OrganizedSpace is built on the same foundation of craftsmanship and customization—but expanded to the entire home. Today, we design and build storage solutions for:

*   Home offices

*   Entryways and mudrooms

*   Pantry cabinets

*   Utility and laundry rooms

* Murphy beds and space-saving solutions

*   Entertainment and media centers

*   Craft room cabinets

*   And more

The goal is simple: help people create spaces that are not just organized, but functional, beautiful, and tailored to how they live.

From a single garage in 1985 to thousands of homes and businesses across the country, our mission hasn’t changed. We believe well-designed storage can transform how people use their space—and ultimately, how they live.

And we’re just getting started.
